The Strategic Family Retreat  - living on purpose.                                              

 

Purpose of the Retreat:

  • To discover a healthy ‘normal’ for family life
  • To reduce stress caused by incongruities of purpose and pace
  • To learn new family life skills that will enhance relationships
  • To enhance communication and build positive memories

 

Target:

  • Family business owners
  • Busy, professional parents who desire to enhance their home life
  • Couples that want to reinforce desirable qualities and skills in their marriage; and in relationship to their children and grandchildren.
  • Couples that want to strengthen communication and develop a clear sense of shared mission and purpose.
  • Family companies concerned with legacy planning (multiple generations may attend)

 

Style of Facilitation:

  • Family Coaching is experiential, practical, positive and memorable
  • Each session begins with a team building exercise or simulation.      

(Typically:Seven sessions lasting 60-90 minutes each.)

  • ‘Edutainment’ utilizing the ample resources of the venue, making learning fun.

 

Pre-retreat: Complete assigned reading, listening to audio, and completing profile.

 

Venue: Your choice.

 

Length: 3 days

 

Outcomes:

    1. The participant will be able to define essential definers of a healthy family life.
    2. The participant will be able to describe the top three threats to their own family life wellness and develop a strategy to challenge these.
    3. The participant will be able to reduce internal and relational stress due to disconnects of pace and purpose.
    4. The participant will discover his/her heartprint, and love language; those of his/her partner and those of his/her children.
    5. The participant will develop a parenting target in writing.
    6. Each participant will create a 20 year parenting plan.
    7. Each participant will record their top ‘family values’ in writing.
    8. The participant will develop a first-draft of their Family Mission Statement.
    9. Each participant will leave with a practical “Next Steps” plan.
